Permontes Group, Inc. is seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Civil Engineering Intern with an interest in land development. As an intern, you will work closely with our engineering team and gain hands-on experience contributing to real project deliverables. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical skills while supporting a variety of civil engineering tasks.
Civil Engineering and Land Development Experience
Site design
Stormwater management calculations
Assist in developing cost estimates
Entitlement coordination
Permit coordination
AutoCAD Civil 3D
Utility design
Grading
Drainage
Project scheduling
On-site visits to gather design data
General civil engineering practices while learning from various staff members.
Attend team coordination and planning meetings
Learn how to prioritize your workload and responsibilities.
Qualifications
Must be in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
*Junior / Senior academic year
Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and accept direction
Must possess developed desire to be challenged and learn
Embraces constructive criticism and uses it as motivation to learn and excel in technical skills
Must demonstrate a collaborative team approach and possess the ability to work as a cohesive team member
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Previous software experience in Adobe Acrobat or Acro Plot Pro PDF editing software is a plus!
Working software knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus!
Self-driven time management and organizational skills
